Clear Polycarbonate Window Well Cover for Bright Idea Egress Window Kit

*Our Well Covers are designed to precisely fit the window wells of the Bright Idea Egress Window Kit, not sold separately. 

For climates with average or greater precipitation, Bright Idea recommends our clear well cover with a unique bowed tubular steel structural subframe and UV-resistant polycarbonate to better shed water while allowing maximum light transmission.

The well cover allows optimal ventilation when our egress windows are set in tilt configuration. Unique vented design eliminates the greenhouse effect common in non-vented products. Sloped for drainage. Unlike flat covers, water will not accumulate in the window well.

Metal clips provide easy installation and removal from within when escape is required. Features the industry's only safety retainer-hinge lanyard system allowing up-and-forward pivot for access. Prevents cover from falling in and prevents damage to windows or injury to occupants attempting to exit.

Bright Idea well covers are available in different sizes to match the well sizes we carry. Window well and ladder in photos are sold separately. Available sizes to fit the following window wells:

• 42" wide
• 50" wide
• 55" wide
• 60" wide

Well cover has a 3" overhang on each side of the well.

Tested to 500 lbs, rated for 350 lbs. static load. Meets all specifications as provided by the IRC2006 egress code.
